Go Kart Racing Scales

Do you realize the importance of scaling your kart? Scaling your kart goes hand in hand with front end adjustments as the front end adjustments should be done on the scales as you would race your kart as opposed to on the stand!

Scaling should be checked frequently as a bent or badly scaled kart will not handle well and you will lose valuable tenth's on the track. Scaling your kart will show issues like this immediately. Most people do not pay attention enough to scaling as kart racing scales are either expensive or people do not know how to use the scales.

We have solved this by sourcing a high quality yet affordable set of scales (we have used them for more than 2 years ourselves on and off the track) and on top we designed a very easy to use scaling application that will run of MS Excel where you just enter your class weight and the corner weights you read of the scales and it will automatically calculate your weight distribution and how much weight you will need to add to meet class weight.

Scaling has never been easier! They might not be as fancy as the $1,300 Longacres and Intercomps but you save $1,000 and in terms of accuracy they are just as good (we have done head to head comparisons) and feature lifetime warranty! We have sold more than 50 and never received a single complaint.

Race Report for Viking Racing, Formula Car Challenge - Race 1/2. March 9/10, 2012

March 10/11th was the date for season opener double header race weekend in the Formula Car Challenge. Unfortunately our preparation towards the new season has been really bad as we spent virtually all our time on fighting engine and car problems meaning I had not had one single lap at Infineon Raceway since our race in November last year.

Andre Eriksen wins 2011 US Rotax Max Challenge National Point Championship

The USRMC National Point Standings ranks drivers from all the local and regional Rotax Max Challenge Series across the country using a weighted point system that increases based on event participation.

The purpose of the USRMC National Point Standings is to highlight those drivers who excel on the season as a whole, not including the USRMC Grand Nationals. Drivers who are properly licensed USRMC drivers are including in the standings for all seven categories, each counting their best six (6) results on the year toward the final standings.

Race Report for Viking Racing, Formula Car Challenge - Race 7/8. August 27/28th, 2011 (Indy GP Weekend)

August 27/28th was the weekend of the annual Indy Car Grand Prix at Infineon Raceway. As the Formula Car Challenge was a featured event both days, it also meant it was Race 7/8 for me in the Formula Car Championship. Besides us and the Indy Cars, there was also historic cars, the Star Mazda Pro Championship as well as touring cars so the paddock was full and track time limited.

As such we only had one practice session before qualifying, no warm up but just the two races. At the last race here, we were running the Indy Car configuration so I knew the track but since it was 2 months back I would have preferred some more test time to get back in to the grove.
